The system is greatly improved by using four torques in two pairs with allowance for their even nature made as in the diagram (Formation of Complex Paddles in Complex Space 2) above.

The resolution of all four torques to cancel each other out depends upon there existence in a gas. It would be difficult to envisage this happening in a solid.
